Proudly representing Queens, New York, Indira Scott’s raw, natural beauty exclusively debuted closing Dior's FW 2018 Couture Collection. She has since worked closely with the iconic label for its collections, both on the runway — and off.
The tarot loving, tea drinking talent’s trademark box braids embellished with interchangeable beads create an appeal that’s instantly identifiable and solely unique. So much so that US Vogue frequently cites Scott’s beauty secrets i.e., using coconut oil for cleansing, moisturizing, and highlighting.
When pressed to change her hairstyle, Scott stands firm in her decision in refusing to conform to what’s considered traditional- ly beautiful. The Jamaica, Queens-native strives to inspire women to be natural, just as they are. She tells Refinery 29, “We all don’t have to be the same to be beautiful.”
The accomplished yogi’s grace extends itself just as well in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Coach, as it does for the pages of US Vogue. And her indelible charm has been subject to profiles in The New York Times, Refinery 29, Models.com, and US Vogue.
Among the aforementioned clients, Scott has worked with an eclectic range of clients, showing great diversity in her abilities working with Michael Kors, Sacai, and Harper's Bazaar to Craig McDean, H&M, and Document Journal to Balmain, Moschino, and Oscar de la renta.
